Title: Here, There, Somewhere & Nowhere Lately, I feel like I'm out of place. Like … I don't belong here or there. Where is "here" or “there"? And is there "somewhere" in-between? A place called "somewhere" - "somewhere" is usually between "here" and there" - or right before or right after "nowhere". Have you ever been there? Or are you stuck "here", on your way to “nowhere”? Are you constantly moving because "here" is never large enough to accommodate what God has planned for your life? "Here" is where we begin to feel tight. Confined, restrained, detained - physically and mentally. Your focus is always on "there". "There" where is it? And how to you get to it? Do you have to pass by "somewhere" to get there? Or do you have to stop by "nowhere", first? "Here" is a two way highway with one lane on each side. There is one lane coming in and one lane going out. The lane coming in is always crowded and barely moves. It only moves where there is an "accident" or what people perceive to be an accident. An "accident" - a new way of thinking, or doing something, or something that doesn't "go right". People respond to an "accident" by moving towards it to either stare and/or imitate, talk about it/them, positive or negative, usually negative. Eventually the "accident" and the individuals involved have to move to the other lane of "here" which is the lane going out, or die right "here" where the accident took place. Now what determines whether or not an “accident" moves to the next lane or dies? What is the #1 cause of death for an "accident"? Fear. Fear of the unknown. Once an “accident" moves to the other lane, the lane going out, it usually does not have an actually destination other than "somewhere" because it knows it cant stay "here", even though "here" is what is familiar to them. "here" is where they know some people. "Here" is where they grew up. "Here" is where they went to school. "Here" is where everybody knows their name. "Here" is where their job is. "Here" is where you regular paycheck is. "Here" is where your grandma lives. "Here” ... but there isn’t enough room for me "here". That’s why I feel so uncomfortable, out of place and confined. "Somewhere" is a HUGE highway with 5 lanes. It is constantly moving. It even has a carpool lane for groups traveling together. There are curves, hills and some valleys along with highway. Since this highway is always moving "accidents" are common and happen all the time. The difference between "here" and "somewhere" is you don’t have to get "involved" with the accident" Sure you might have to pass by the “accident". You may need to change lanes or go a different route in order to avoid the "accident" altogether. The "accident" may make you journey to "there" a little longer or a little shorter. That "accident" may be just what you needed in order to get "there". You may be traveling in the wrong lane for what God has planned for you. You may need to travel through a valley and up a hill, or turn left on the block right before the "accident" in order to get "there". On the other hand, it may be meant for you to be involved in the "accident". The "Accident" may be a determining factor as to whether or not you get "there". My point is this. If you are on the highway called "somewhere" you are well on your way to "there" And though you may not know anyone or be very familiar or comfortable with your surroundings, the mere act of leaving "here" to get to "there" puts you in a position to receive what God has planned for your life. The highway called "somewhere" may be difficult to travel at times, because were not certain of what lies ahead, but "somewhere" is a large enough highways where I can back up and turn around if I miss my turn. I can change lanes, pass or follow the car in front of me. I can stop and ask for directions if I get lost.
If I get tired of driving, I can pull over and rest, or, if I'm traveling
with a friend, we can take turns driving. I have OPTIONS on the highway
called "somewhere" and as long as my footsteps are ordered by the Spirit
of God, as long as I am constantly seeking and hearing his voice, whatever
lies ahead, an "accident", a layoff, a repossession, and eviction, an
illness, a lawsuit, an x-husband can not harm me from getting to my
"there". The only option we have on the highways of "here" and "nowhere"
is death, and this is not an option. Its a fact. The highway called "somewhere" is the first step on the journey we call life. The day you decided to leave "here" and go "somewhere" is your first day of life. Celebrate! We celebrate the 1st day of life. We don't worry about how we are going to live or how we are going to pay our bills. We don't worry about what other people think or say. If they were really living, and on the highway called "somewhere" they would not have time to access and/or criticize your decisions or your situations. They would be too busy trying to get to "there".
And knowing how precious and wonderful life is, they would be celebrating
with you, because the real truth is, everyone is not going to get "there".
In fact the majority wont even make it to "somewhere". Most of the people
we know, relatives, friends, coworkers, neighbors, and allot of "church"
folks, including some bishops, pastors, priests, popes ( yes you read it
right -popes) are "here".
If we believe life does not officially begin until you get to the highway
called "somewhere", then that means the majority of the people that we
know, "love", and associate with, are either technically spiritually dead,
and do not know it - or they haven't been "born again", at least not
really. For one reason or another, usually fear, prior hurt, rejection and
or/unforgiveness, refuse to move forward and step into what God has
planned for them. They are "here".
These individuals are alive physically, but dead, spiritually. Basically
they have decided, life for them, begins after their physical death. After
their psychical death, they go to heaven where everything is beautiful and
wonderful. You don’t have to step out in Faith, in heaven. There are no
challenges or mountains to move. Everything you need or want is right
there and available to you. In heaven, you don’t have to be a conqueror.
There is nothing to conquer. Their, "there", can only be found after their
physical death. Now if that’s what you believe and accept, why stand or sit, whichever you prefer, and wait for psychical death? What motivates you to live? If life begins after psychical death, why not speed up the process? Why wait until 60, 65, 70 or more years to die, when you can just kill yourself now, go to heaven and start living while your young? Why hang around all that time making everyone around you miserable? Because if you are dead spiritually, you cannot be a very pleasant person to be around. The spiritually dead can’t speak words of life or love because their focus is on death. And, personally, if you are not speaking words of life and love into my life, I don’t want you anywhere near me. Some say it's a sin to take your own life. I don't believe that. I say, the joke may be on you, though, as you will have to come back/return (reincarnate) to "here" and live the same life over again, exactly the same way, with the SAME "accidents" until you live the life God had planned on for you in the 1st place- and get it RIGHT … and actually LIVE your life until GOD plans to bring you to "there" ( home/heaven).
Everyday
people all over the world die because of something someone said to them or
about them. Speaking words contrary to life and love is the “sin" here.
The bible says "… the earth is the Lord's, and all it's fullness ... and
those who dwell therein" - Psalm 24:1 6:9-10.. And it also says “Our
Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Your name, your kingdom come, Your
will, be done on earth as it is in heaven" - Matthew 6:9-10. Based upon these scriptures, heaven or "there", begins right now, right here, on earth. Knowing this, accept nothing less than what God has planned for your life! I ask myself every day ... At some point in my life, am I not obligated to move from the highway known as "here" to "somewhere", eventually reaching my final destination of "there"? And last but not least once I reach "there", am I not obligated to go back to "here" and "somewhere" (not to stay to belittle the ones still "there") but to minister to, encourage, assist and speak words of life and love into their lives? Jesus was obligated. So am I. Standing in the midst of nothingness yet everything, is what creates a future different from our past.
When the light comes on, when we bring the light, we then feel relief in
Being who we are. Your True Nature. No explanations needed. No compromises
granted. No alternatives to the issue. We just stand in nothingness and
create a future that is extraordinary.
That is how God did it. BE who we are. Live what we affirm. It is then
that we are Peaceful and reassured. It is then that conflict will cease.
Blessings to all!
