The Solar Harvest Organization, solar power information in Montana, alternative energy source, sustainable living. A search of Google will turn-up more than 900 websites featuring Do-It-Yourself. But less than 100 of these are alternative energy and out of those 90+ are trying to sell you something. (Dec. '02) The Harvest is here to help fill the void. We feature articles on what we've done and how it worked out, good or bad. We don't promote anyone's products but we do tell you who steps up to help and who's stuff we've used successfully. And the only thing we'll sell is equipment our members have taken out of service.

Energy Efficiency in Household Appliances and Lighting   

This book covers the state of the art of energy efficiency in household appliances and lighting which can be used now and in the near future to achieve significant and cost-effective energy savings. Recent developments in advanced appliance and lighting technologies by some of the largest manufacturers are also presented. Although energy-efficient household appliances and lighting technologies can save a huge amount of electricity, they still have not been widely adopted. The barriers which can hinder the adoption of those technologies are presented.
